Director of Analytical Development

Job Posting:  Director of Analytical Development (Chromatography)

The Director of Analytical Development (Chromatography) will assume responsibility for the following activities:

1. Research and development of chromatographic analysis platforms.
2. Improvement of subject matter expertise in product analysis and method development.
3. Talent management and training of new personnel.
4. Project cycle management; to include budgeting, timeline, and personnel organization.
5. Oversee analytic test methods for antibody and antibody drug conjugates, reviewing SOPs, method transfers, qualification, and validation.
6. Develop and optimize analytical methods for antibody drug release and characterization (SEC, CEX, HIC, CE-SDS, iCIEF, peptide mapping, sialic acid analysis, N-glycan, etc).
7. Primary and secondary structure analysis of antibodies, including LC-MS, CE/MS, circular dichroism, DSC, and MALS.

The desired requirements for this position are as follows:

1. MS or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related field.
2. 10+ years of work experience in macromolecular protein analysis.
3. 5+ year of direct management experience.
4. Expertise in HPLC and LC-MS, method development, and data analysis.
5. Strong English communication skills (spoken, comprehension, reading, and writing).
6. Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
